BeLonging Builder is LBCC’s Colleague Recognition
program for shining a light on the everyday moments that strengthen our campus
community—and support the goals of LBCC’s Strategic Plan.
Who should you recognize?
Recognize any LBCC employee who helps foster a sense of belonging, such as someone who:
- Welcomes
students or colleagues in a way that truly makes them feel seen
- Builds
inclusive spaces, practices, or events
- Offers
support, mentorship, or encouragement when it matters most
- Removes
barriers and helps others feel they belong here
- Models
values and behaviors that align with our Strategic Plan priorities
Your words matter!
A quick note of appreciation can make a lasting impact. Keep it simple, specific, and heartfelt—what did they do, and how did it increase a sense of belonging?
You may nominate as many employees as you like, but please limit one nomination per colleague for every recognition period (Spring: January 1st to June 30th and Fall: July 1st to December 31st).
